I chose Grusome Playground Injuries
I chose this play because I liked Guards At The Taj Mahal which was written by the same person. His writing style is not hard to follow along with and I was not getting bored reading it.
I resonated with the scene of them sitting together outside of her father's funeral. I have a similar situation with one of my friends in the sense of how we will randomly talk or hang out and go months without speaking to or seeing each other. This has caused us to not ne there for eachother at times that we should've been.
Kayleen
Kayleen's mother abandoned her and her father was not a good man, Doug became friends with Kayleen.
The play ends with Kayleen and Doug sitting together at an ice rink. They were 38 years old and Doug was in a wheelchair. Kayleen offers to touch him because he always thought she had the ability to heal him. Doug does not want her to touch him. Instead, they sit there and start talking about their past memories.

Nice work, keep digging in! Kayleen is a great character and has a lot of layers, where she both needs and also denies. This is going to be a great challenge for you- keep thinking about your own relationships with your own friends.
